Hormone Health

Your body is constantly making hormones throughout your life.  The levels of hormones vary depending on the time of day or time of month.  Hormones such as; cortisol, estrogen, progesterone, LH, FSH, insulin, thyroid hormone and melatonin all communicate with each other. However, keeping your hormones in check is a balancing act, as soon as one is thrown off, the others may follow.

Common signs of hormonal imbalances include: fatigue, sleep concerns, weight changes, digestive imbalances, changes to skin, hair or nails, irregular cycles, hot flashes/night sweats, new or persistent PMS symptoms, etc.

At any stage of life, Dr. Kristin Wootton can help you determine if your hormones are causing your concerns through a comprehensive assessment and work with you to develop your individualized hormone balancing plan.  Various hormone testing may be used to determine your current status.

Dr. Kristin Wootton has met the standards for prescribing and is able to offer Bio-identical Hormone Therapy and dessicated thyroid prescriptions to patients if needed.
